Week Seven Term Two

This week we have been on school service, where we have been responsible for picking up rubbish around the school - see how much rubbish we have picked up!!! We have also have been learning about Ripper Rugby, and we have had a lot of fun with the boys from Wairarapa Bush Rugby Union.

Week Six Term 2

Wow, what an exciting week!!!

On Tuesday, we had our school Cross Country where Room 19 had Teuwira place 3rd in the Year one girls race; Kingston placed 1st, and Gibson 2nd in the Year two boys race, and Selina placed 1st in the Year 2 race. Well Done- Room 19!!

Also, on Tuesday - we did a splendid job of showcasing our folk dancing to our parents.

Then on Friday, we hosted our Junior Syndicate assembly. Where we read out some amazing narratives and showed our artwork.

We are currently learning about measurement using non-standard measures such as our hands, and we thoroughly enjoyed drawing around ourselves and then measuring our arms and legs using our hands.

Thank you for sending in all the plastic bottles we are currently creating our creations of people, pigs and puppies. We are looking forward to seeing how these turn out.

Week Five Term 2

We experienced a visit from Ronald McDonald on Monday, and he had lost his red,white stripy sock!! He told us that we must stop, look and listen while walking along the road and before crossing the road.

We have also been getting ready for Cross Country. Sadly, it was postponed until Tuesday the 7th.

Please remember the 7th June for Cross Country at 11am and for our folk dancing show at 2.15.
